I logged again after long time and I got this problem
Protocol version is different, also I can't find any NPC in talking island village.
What is the case?
I installed latest patch also I have windows 7

Yeah me too I get that error: protocol version is different. And my character is deleted on one account, the other account, password is wrong.

Well,I got my problem solved.The only thing I had to do was to run l2.exe from windows 7 shortcut folder.
About your case I have no clue what's wrong...I hope you will get it solved soon too.

yeah me too problem solved, I reinstalled the game it must of been from my side
