Yeah, i did install the 3D driver using safemode in win XP. But why are you trying to write and read from specific locations in the memory?

I am not turning off DEP, that's bullshit. 
The patch is not starting up. I'm currently installing the VM and trying that option as i do not intend to dual boot windoze. Will report on the performance
EDIT:
Game starts up under VM, but your client is trying to write something to a memmory address. It then crashes
