Silver ranger 52lvl

before last restart : critical 148(with emi) should be 165

after restart : critical 111 !

WTF? Maybe easier to remove all class archers?

Hello! I'm new here. I've also took the archer, wanted to be PR but ppl say the same, - "Crit. atk is cuted - pick the dagger!". Pls, fix this problem!
Btw, love this server exept this. Searched for such chronicles for a long time, without donate, bots, ect.

If this is true, then I am really worried by it..

Why was crit rate for bow users nerfed? C1 was broken and unbalanced in many ways, and everyone knew it, but it still lasted for almost a year before it was patched in the next chronicle.

I understand giving buffs to underused classes like tanks, but why try to balance other classes by nerfing them??

I read about dagger skill reuse nerf, and thought it was a little ridiculous, but nerfing archer crit rate also is unnecessary. I haven't played here for very long yet, but has sleep+poison been nerfed? Has deathspike been nerfed? Has sps been nerfed? Has chain stun been nerfed?

You're messing with too many things trying to balance the game by taking drastic measures like this. The solution to problems with balance is NEVER to throw nerfdarts around like you were Rambo in a toy gunfight. You give other players more tools to deal with the situation. You DON'T take the tools away from other players and make the class useless to everyone except people who already have +7 top B. That is the opposite of progressive.

Can we get a GM statement on the topic please? I want to be able to understand what this is about.

Daggers must deal with underwear protection . sleep is not retail . silence the same.

want archers retail i must change the rest retail like too and this server will be unplayable smile.gif

But underwear protection PLUS 10s increase in reuse?? That is 300% reuse time on top of dagger protection!!

Rogue class seems pretty useless from this point. I can't speak fully, because I'm not high enough level to have much opinion in the matter, but I don't feel good about either choice now, and I would have preferred to just roll a spoiler had I of known that archer were being nerfed as well..

And it seems like 25% crit rate nerf. That is a HUGE amount. 5 or 10% to balance the class? Okay, that is understandable. But take away 1/4 of our burst dmg? How do we deal with nukers/buffers who can heal through dps now?

Anyway, I hope you don't take this as me being rude. I don't know enough of this server to have a solid opinion. I just know from lots of experience with custom class configuration that it can be very very easy to nerf a class to a point where it is useless. There is a pretty delicate balance with the game, and just chopping a chunk off where it looks like it is too powerful can make them nearly useless without even realizing it..

I agree. And it's not just 3 of us. I've joined the clan, cl and all other members are pissed off. Nobody wants to play bowmans anymore. x((

I don't know exactly about this nerf. Bow, a class always need support to be strong, now have nerf, and weaker than a dagger use bow, that must be out of bow, but it's time for us to try other class smile.gif

I dont want destroy one class and we are here for the C1, but as i mentioned before if some important class have somethink changed archers must have too.

Ill consider give back part of critical dmg but at least 15% must be removed. or if not ill back all class to retail smile.gif

And what about swordsinger's song of hunter that should give 100% bonus to crit rate instead of 50%? It is a main feature of sws so without it they become much more weak. Do you really think that swordsingers are overpowered so their main song should be cut?

I understand your intention. And I agree with you with the idea. Some stuff is too broken to be kept the way it is. I only think that the answer is more complex than just 'Okay, archer deals too much damage. Chop crit in1/2.' or something like 'dagger is broken, add +100% reuse time.'

Doing drastic things like this really effects the class deeper and more adversely than you may initially consider. It takes a lot of forethought to understand the full implications of a nerf, and it is a delicate balance ti try to adjust. This is why instead of nerfing, it is always suggested to add buffs to other classes instead. Taking away something from one class makes them less efficient at dealing with every challenge they face, pvp or pve or anything else. By buffing another class (for example adding anti archer underwear just like you did for daggers, so classeslike nukers/buffers can deal better with 1shot archers) you aaren't taking away the archers tools to deal with every situation, and you give yourself more room to play with the balance without constantly needing to revise and tweak a single class endlessly to find a good balance.

I have done lots of custom work with servers over the last 10 years in both Lineage 2 and mainly with Lineage 1 private servers, so I do have a good understanding of the best ways to handle balance issues and custom mechanic implementation.

I would be absolutely willing to offer advice and suggestions/ideas more robust than the quick archer underwear that I gave earlier, if you are interested GM. I really like this server so far, and I want to ensure that the population is generally happy about the direction it heads in. It is impossible to please everyone, of course, but through careful planning you can ensure that things are fair for the largest group of people possible, and offer alternatives for any user who may be unsatisfied with the condition of the game.

Lastly, I understand that this is your server and you have the final say in what changes you decide to make. I don't mean to disrespect that authority with my posts here, I hope you don't take them as overly critical. I only wish to help you come to the most fair conclusion possible so my fellow players aren't frustrated and leave. Every player that leaves the community is a loss for us all =(

Also, the reuse time on dagger skills I read on an old thread, may have been info from old server I can't remember well. It was in a topic about2x mp consumption or dsomething like that. I'll try to find it and quote when I get home, I'm on mobile at work atm. It is probably outdated thread anyway, so I should stop mentioning it haha.

Here we got 103 without song and 165 with it. This equals to 60% increase instead of 100% (retail rate). What would you answer now?
