13 members from BA clan all want wipe , and x4

Can you give us a clue about when you are going to take ur decision?My brother wants to play but he doesnt want to play if there is going to be a wipe and he doesn't know when to return...Can you tell us what day you'll take ur decision, or how many votes u need before you take ur decision?

Let's make a pros and cons list, shall we? this is what I can think about, please feel free to add points if you can think of other:
PROS FOR WIPE:
* Server will have a fresh start, with a possibility of changing the image
* Everybody will have similar levels again
* More BA members will be more active (so they say) and also there is a chance other will be more tempted to play (?maybe?)
CONS FOR WIPE:
* People that played here for almost a year will loose everything they have and have to start over again
* The chance of getting new people with a wipe is very small and some of the players before the wipe might get upset and leave resulting in close to no one playing
* Might ruin the server credibility as stable

Personally, I wouldn't want a wipe because I would have wasted these last few days playing (others have way more reason to be upset) but it's not the fact that others are high-lvl that scares me, but the fact that at higher levels when I will need parties I won't find anyone to go with.

I don't think the focus should be on SHOULD THERE BE A WIPE OR NOT, but on finding ways to get more people to play. IF a good campaign is intended following a wipe, then maybe it's not a bad idea, but if it's just done for the sake of doing it, then it will only do harm.

P.S: I would like to thank the BA member who PKd me several times in EG trying to convince me to vote for wipe. Instead of helping the community grow by helping newbies lvl faster and have people to party/pvp with them, it's easier to try to destroy it and hope the new one will be better, but why would it? Still, trying to change people's votes through intimidation, how east-European of you!

I did a search for another server....incase BA scams this server DEAD....and there is not anything like this C1 ...or C2....Low Rate ...Bgrade Top...60 Cap...


The BA....want to open their own server? ....with similar Stats? Fuck YOU BA.....GM...remember BA still ANGRY....from BannBots...and Donate return...

The only Problem this server has is FROM nobody knows about it.....

I have been playing on this server on and off since the last reopening. While I am by no means a high level character, or even what I would call a regular player, this is and has been the server I've always come back to when I want to get my L2 fill in... Here are some reasons for that;

1) Every-time I come back, the server is here and so are my characters and gear
2) Even if I haven't played in months, I see the same people in chat when I come back, giving it a home-like feeling
3) It's the only server I have found that has the nostalgia of when I played prelude/C1 in retail
4) It has a slow pace that let's me enjoy the quests and take time to see all the areas so I can play how and where I want

I've come to think of this server as a stable place that I can always come back to. A place where I can continue my L2 adventures when, where and how I choose. I really don't see how wiping the server would benefit anyone, much less how it would bring new people in. If anything, I think as many have already said, it will probably push many people away. That being said, I'm only against a wipe. I do not have anything against bringing the rates up to 4x. It's faster than I would like, but not absurdly so.



Let's look at this like a business venture. You have a product, not many people if anyone else has. Unfortunately, it's also a very niche market product. So, how do we fix the issue of low population?

-Advertise, advertise, advertise... It's also up to us to help you with that
-Don't alienate the loyal people by catering to those who wish to change your product into something it isn't, and has been done a 1000x over in other places (ie-C3+ servers)
-Implement some of the fixes/work rounds that have been suggested (ie- fix the delf buffer, make class quests optional, nightly server restarts)
-If rates must be increased, avoid the wipe. Hardcore players will always reach level cap first regardless of wipe, ultimately we'll all end up in the same place EVENTUALLY, so why needlessly kick the casual player in the teeth?
-If the game has to evolve into a new chronicle, keep it C2 so it doesn't loose too much of that nostalgic feeling. Otherwise make a separate server for C3+ chronicles.

Ryoko you can't imagine the big ammount of advertisement that i did in the last re-launch. I know this X2 is good i carefully edited , quest , rates ,raidboss , custom stuff. Is me not players who create this topic and its me who want change the product . server worked great for 1 year. i can mantain this forever in fact but what sense it have if i mantain for only 20 players ? if doing adjust we can have double.


Im the first one who dont support wipe. the project i love is x2 without dualbox , but if rates x4 will be more fun , more people. is double edge sword. because if more rates people will be top fast

Im agree with the people who say that a wipe could be senseless and could make leave some players, but a wipe with a good marketing campaing its the more effective way to increase the server population. Its a risky move and the last option but if the players undernstand the reasons and believe that it gonna help to create a bigger server and with a lot of publicity it could be a success.

I remind you that we are in a x2 (yet) server. If you put it very expensive nobody can or will want to buy it. When you reach lvl 40 you'll want to buy C stuff..(gear, shots , weapon)

Thanks for taking the time to read my post, and I appreciate everything you said. It's a shame there has to be a change, but I do like the suggestion you gave (quoted) and would like to give my support for it! I hope everyone else can get behind it too. Hopefully if this is what is decided on, we'll get some new people in game who will like it too

I suggest that rate increase to 4x without wipe would not lead to online increase. As Madocter stated earlier in his post there is no reason to run server with 20 people online. Moreover, even if there will be wipe server shoud be closed for some time (several weeks or month). This will give an opportunity to advertisements to find new players. In the meantime, PvP server or Prelude server could be launched.

I remind you that we are in a x2 (yet) server. If you put it very expensive nobody can or will want to buy it. When you reach lvl 40 you'll want to buy C stuff..(gear, shots , weapon)
Think about it.

My idea is exactly that - make it almost impossible for newbies to buy the q item for 40 lvl.We all want a c1 game style, right?I don't remember a free quest item in c1, do you?If you want to make it easy for urself - pay for it.That's my logic.

Just tell us if you are going to do the wipe or not.You will know the effect of it after you do it and you will regret it, but I guess it's best to fall on ur ass and learn than never learn.

IF YOU WIPE....then the LOYAL PLAYER loses everything....MAYBE you can DELEVEL EVERYONE TO ZERO ....And my items not gone. I want server to stay the same ...but rather this level 1 than wipe.
